Alaa has been a member of Cooperative Federal's Board of Directors since October 2021. He is an IT professional with over eight years of experience in system analysis and process improvement. Alaa currently works as a Computer Consultant at Syracuse University, where he focuses on software deployment, server management, and project management. Alaa holds a BS in Information Management & Technology from Syracuse University. Fluent in Arabic and English, Alaa is dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency and supporting IT initiatives at the credit union.

Indaria is an award-winning entrepreneur with 8 years of experience as an economic development professional. She has managed some of Upstate New York's most prominent CEOs from small to million-dollar companies, executives of regional organizations, startups, and community activists and leaders. Indaria is passionate about creating opportunities for minority and women owned businesses professionals, leading her to create an incubator for this purpose in 2018. She recently served on the NYS Regional Economic Development Council Advisory Group to accelerate economic investment for minority developers and cofounded iHome Property Management & Co. to purchase and rehabilitate residential homes in her neighborhood.

Moise was born in Haiti and moved to the US at age 12. He served in the US Navy before attending Onondaga Community College and graduating from Syracuse Univ. with a degree in International Relations. Moise currently works as a Project Manager at Falk College (SU) and is pursuing a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from the Maxwell School. He joined our Board in 2021, currently serving as Vice President. Moise is a father and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and volunteering.

Jessica grew up on a small farm in Upstate NY. For the past 20 years, she has been an activist and community organizer in Syracuse, working on economic and social justice campaigns including immigrant rights, justice for incarcerated individuals and their families, community gardening and urban agriculture, and safe and clean energy. Jessica is currently a trainer with RiseUp for Social Action, serves on the boards of the Alliance for a Green Economy and the NY Immigration Coalition, and is the Executive Director of the Workers Center of CNY.

Aleris was born in Puerto Rico and raised between both Puerto Rico and Syracuse. She is currently serves the Spanish-speaking community as caseworker with the Onondaga County Department of Children and Family Services. Aleris received her BA in Psychology and Sociology from Wells College in 2010. Aleris has dedicated her life to Social work and loves assisting those around her in whichever way possible. In her spare time, Aleris enjoys traveling and spending time with family and loved ones.

Barbara was born and raised in Syracuse, and loves living here. She currently works at Thompson and Johnson Equipment as their Financial Analyst. Barbara has worked in various types of companies, all in an accounting capacity, from insurance to retail and manufacturing. With 2 adult daughters and 2 granddaughters, she received her BBA in Finance/Accounting when her youngest went to kindergarten and her MBA in 2016. She joined Coop Fed’s Board in 2021 and serves as the Financial Officer.

Randy is the Managing partner of Amenity Properties LLC, a Licensed Real Estate Brokerage Company. He previously worked as the Manager of Syracuse SNUG, a program which focuses on high-risk young people between the ages of 14-24 involved in gun violence. He serves on the Board of Directors of Blueprint15 and the Southside Community Coalition, and is the managing partner of Amenity Properties LLC. Randy has been a member of Cooperative Federal since 2018 and has served on the Credit Committee since 2019.

Guidelines for Nominations

Cooperative Federal’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce its slate of nominees for the credit union’s 2025 Election.

Members may make additional nominations by submitting petitions. Petitions must include (a) names and signatures of at least 20 members, (b) a brief candidate statement (500 characters), and (c) a signed certificate stating that they will serve if elected to office.

Deadline for nominations by petition: March 18, 2025

Nominees must be Cooperative Federal members in good standing. We actively work to engage people of color, immigrants, all genders, and young or emerging leaders.

Candidates nominated by petition will be posted online and in our lobbies by 3/23/25. Cooperative Federal will not conduct the annual election by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when the number of nominees equals the number of open positions.

Collecting Petitions

Members that wish to petition for nomination may collect signatures in CoopFed’s lobbies during designated times.
